Lift features with a halo bun
Pulling hair into a bountiful, sky-high bun directs focus up, giving eyes and cheekbones a beautiful and youthful boost, says celebrity hairstylist Daniel Koye.
GET THE LOOK: Secure hair into a high ponytail at the crown. Back-comb hair in the tail, then take 1" sections and wrap around the base; pin in place. Repeat until all hair is placed in a large roll. Finish by gently tugging on small sections throughout for an "undone" look.
Slim the face with light waves
Loose waves that fall heavily to one side of the face direct focus diagonally, which "contours" the cheekbones and jawline for a chiseled, slimmer-looking face, says Koye. "And accessorizing hair on one side with a rhinestone-encrusted pin helps add oomph and holiday sparkle to a shorter style."
GET THE LOOK: Create a deep side part, then loosely wrap 2" sections of hair around a 2" curling iron; comb through with fingers. Tuck hair behind the ear and pin in place with a jeweled pin (like Scünci Crystal & Rose Gold Floral Barrette, Ulta.com).
